A made-to-measure sewing program
Sew Clothes That Actually Fit You.
A made-to-measure sewing program that drafts patterns from your body — not a size chart.
Every sewist who cares about fit hits the same wall — again and again.
You cut a size 12 bodice, size 16 waist, size 10 shoulder.
You spend more time doing an FBA and grading between sizes than sewing.
The finished garment still gapes, pulls, or rides up.
The pattern should bend to your body. Not the other way around.
Same skill.
Completely different process.
Here's what changes the moment you stop chasing a size chart and start sewing from a block that's already yours.
Sewing from a commercial pattern
The endless muslin loop
- Muslin #1 — cut, sew, still gaping
- Muslin #2 — re-grade, re-cut, still pulling
- Muslin #3 — closer, but still adjusting
- Still adjusting when you'd rather be sewing
- ~3 weekends per garment
Sewing from your own block
Draft once, fit forever
- One fitting — read the lines, done
- Draft once, reuse forever
- Every pattern starts from a body that's already yours
- No more FBAs, no more grading limbo
- Fits from the first cut
Draft your sloper once. Every future project fits from the first cut.

What's inside the program
During the nine months together, we'll be deep diving into:
Taking your 30 measurements accurately
The in-person cohort will be pairing up to take measurements with each other removing the guess work of whether things were done correctly. The virtual co-hort will receive in depth instruction on how to do this at home.
Understanding how fit works
Wearing ease, design ease, fit adjustments and how YOU want things to fit and feel.
Fabric changes everything
Learning about fibers, weave, drape, stretch, burn tests and how it all comes together to create the garment of your dreams.
Building your blocks
Kicking off with the skirt block, we'll be applying the measurements to create slopers just for you. We will be completing skirt, bodice, sleeve and pant slopers that will provide the templates needed to make consistently accurate adjustments to your patterns while giving you the foundation to begin designing your own patterns.

Aaronica was amazing, this is the exact class I was hoping for - informative, casual, fun and interesting. I left feeling so much more comfortable with reading patterns and it made me feel ready to tackle a project I've been scared of. Thanks!Glennabeginner-intermediate sewist

Questions, answered
The things sewists ask us most before joining the waitlist.
When does the program start?
Doors haven't opened yet. Joining the waitlist puts you first in line — you'll get early access to enrollment and first-cohort pricing before anyone else. This program goes from January - September 2027.
How experienced do I need to be?
You should be able to sew a garment start to finish on your own. You don't need any fitting or patternmaking experience — that's exactly what the nine months teach.
Is it in-person or virtual?
Both options exist. The in-person cohort will be meeting at Topstitch Atl with days/times TBD based on registrant availability. The online option will be utilized using Zoom.
How much time does it take each month?
One three-hour main session per month, a 90-minute fit clinic, and homework in between. Most students find a few focused hours a week is enough to keep pace.
What will I walk away with?
Your own skirt, bodice, sleeve and pant slopers — templates built from your 30 measurements that you'll reuse for every future project, for the rest of your sewing life.
What supplies do I need?
A sewing machine, a measuring tape, pattern paper and basic marking tools. There will be an add-on option to purchase a kit that will have the tools you need if you don't already own them.
Make the next thing you sew fit you.
